“…it has the words “DON’T PANIC” in large, friendly letters on the cover.”
Get this mini towel for your pocket, your purse, your wallet… wherever. You should always carry a towel with you, and letting it remind you not to panic is a great added bonus.

He [Arthur] hoped and prayed that there wasn’t an afterlife. Then he realised there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn’t an afterlife.

Last night I decided that being jaded is such a bittersweet and beautiful thing. To see things as they really are, with no rose colored glasses, knowing in your heart of hearts that it doesn’t have to be like this. It doesn’t have to be, but knowing that it will be anyway. So you just trudge forward, calling things out as you see them as best you can. Often sounding to others as simply angry. Or broken from the world.
Other people master this ‘art of being Jaded’; masters like Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams. Calling out the ugly and the absurd with such a heavy and precise blow that it shatters your entire world. It reaches into the dark recesses of your inner thoughts and reminds you that you too are jaded, but just less artfully so. And your heart burns and your fires flare up for a time. And a memory attaches to that moment in a book as if it were your own.
Thank you to those artfully inclined jaded souls. Who wrap their frustrations so beautifully in a perfectly lethal package so that I may enjoy the killing blow.
